Yahoo
Just been trawling around on some broker sites. I keep revisiting 'coast to coast' for to decide on my final spec and eventual price. They seem to work on a 12% discount. However, I have just found 'drive the deal' who offer a massive 16.5% discount. They can do a 335i m-sport (with no options) for £28 530. I have done a bit of research and drive the deal appear to be as well thought of as any online broker. All cars are supplied by UK dealers to full UK spec. This seems to good to be true - is it? Drive the deal discount includes £1250 extra discount but you have to take the BMW finance if you read the small print you shall see, both are working out about the same price without finance. Yahoo
[ QUOTE ] both are working out about the same price without finance. [/ QUOTE ] You are right, didn't read that last night. Drive the deal still work out about £100 cheaper than coast to coast, so nothing in it really. Still, it might provide more leaverage when asking a local dealer to price match a deal that can be sourced through 2 reputable online brokers. They should be able to considering the 12-13% discount available includes a cut for the broker. The base discount that brokers are able to secure must be closer to 15% before they take their cut. Goes to show how 'd Joe public gets if he/she doesn't push for a deal.
Oli
I can assure you it isnt 15%

Or even if they can get within a few hundred pounds (max 500) of the price, someone else on here was in a similar position when looking to buy a 5 series and was told by various members what is possible and to keep trying, but he ended up paying £2000 to much Good Luck. give the dealers
pile
Drive the Deal price is subject to you using BMW finance , thats how they are getting the extra £1250 off the price and if you dont use them you add £1250 to the price quoted. As im with Cooper im waiting for them to get back to me as i want the discount as im going to use finance for this car.
pile
Got my dealer tomatch the price , and it was no problem but i do have to use them for finance i think my car should of cost £45500 and its going to be around £38250 so a saving off ::::::::::::: £7250
gizze
But how expensive is their finance!!!?? I just had a PM from someone who has been paying £560 a month for the last 13 months on a 330d and when he got a settlement he owed only £300 less than when it started. I would go with Lombard or similar.

gizze
But BMW do not have a package that you can get out of Scott, even if they get the rates down you are still tied in.

gizze
Yeah you can walk away, but the interest is front loaded and you get a discount for ending early, which is not much of a discount at all. http://www.tyresmoke.net/ubbthreads/show...e=0&fpart=

gizze
Now that is interesting. The guy at Chelmsford said they could no longer do balanced, and that they haven't been able to for a couple of years. They really are muppets sometimes!! pile
oh dear ........... whats a balanced payment ?
gizze
Tell them that is what you want. That way you pay off capitol each month and then they charge you the interest in the remaining balance, so if you pay off £500 and the interest is £150 you have actually paid off £350 that month, you get a statement each month and you know exactly where you stand. However as it is a lower margin product they may prefer to not offer that option......but I couldn't possibly say that
Gareth
[ QUOTE ] oh dear ........... whats a balanced payment ? [/ QUOTE ] Balanced payment lease purchase. If you change (and fund) your cars as often as you say, I cannot believe you haven't heard of that option-which is the only to fund (aside from cash) if you change cars frequently.....
