tonygould
Ive been doing a search on here to find out Audi labour times to fit the rear ARB but cant seem to find it, i know most people who do a diy fit say its about half an hour. Now the local stealers have just quoted me 2 hours was anyone else who had their ARB fitted at the stealers quoted 2 hours? as this does seem as though they are trying to me
J_C
They are taking the piss. IMO you needn't bother with a main dealer for something like this; APS in Brackley did mine in about forty five minutes.
chasdrury
It might be just that they don't really want the work so priced it really high. As John said, get an independent to do it, or do it yourself. I used a pair of ramps, torque wrench and a mate to help manoeuvre bits and it took 25 minutes. It really is dead easy to do. Hint: wait till the car has cooled down before you go under the car and catch your arm on the red hot exhaust! Ouch
Scotty
I wanted to ensure I followed the instructions about keeping the car level when fitting it. i.e. not jacked up or on a pair of ramps. I took it to an independant tyre/exhaust place. I had to wait a little as they wanted to suspend it on pads but I insisted they used the drive on lift. They took about 35-45 mins in total...which may have been a little bit more difficult due to the Milltek system. It too 1 hours from arrival to leaving and they charged me £30. It wasn't worth getting my hands dirty or doing it in a non-ideal manner. p.s. The owner had an M3 so asked if I wanted a race. He'd seen Top Gear where it showed the M3 advantage in a straight line. I said ok but warned him it wasn't a stock car. He decided to bail out I never get to have fun with M3s ..... apart from when DHA had his
