For one, everyone on this forum is now aware of that cosmetic company if they weren't before, so it's done it's job already! It's like any advertising; the worse it is, the better it is. You either talk about really really rubbish ads, or brilliant ones. Whether they are rubbish or brilliant, it's still brand awareness, so works just as well.
