scooby_simon
[ QUOTE ] Spotted as I was going down the M42.... Riz [/ QUOTE ] Looks like an un-liveried Bae / Aeroespacial Beluga transport plane. Used for moving bits of the Ax series of planes between the UK and Toulouse. When I worked at Filton, they were coming in and out once a week or so.

DHA
Well Mollox gets one point, as does Scooby Simon. Riz gets half a point, by default, as the Beluga is in fact based on the passenger Airbus A300-600. But I could deduct the half point from Riz as the new Airbus is the A380. Have actually had one follow me out on the taxiway and they're even more impressive when you're in a tiny PA38 and it's fifty metres behind you! BrianFD3S
DHA have you seen an AN225 Myria? saw its baby brother the AN124 at Shannon once, and it was a behemoth.
DHA
Sadly not there was a AN124 in last year to deliver a new engine for a 777 when it went pop over the atlantic but I am not sure if LHR could handle a 225, would need to dig the books/cd rom out to check. But it does mention C17 taxi restrictions so maybe they technically could visit LHR!
