jezyg
Trying to get the best deal on an A4 S line Cab uknewcars seem to be the best online broker I have found so far. Not been to my local dealer Derby Audi yet anyone had any dealings? Also what are peoples views on the 1.8T compared to the 2.0 TDi? Had a BMW 120d cracking car but still not a real derv convert but maybe better for residuals, running cost's and performance compared to a 1.8T? Thanks in advance
Cupramax
I'd go for a 2.0T if you can stretch to it. Far better engine for not much more money and the Co2 is the same as the 1.8T despite having 37hp more and its more economical due to being direct injection. aliAUDI
the 2.0 tdi in my opinion isn't that great, it's too heavy for the car--too much weight over the front end. the 2.0 T is stunning.....
Cupramax
Similar thread already going here by the way... http://www.tyresmoke.net/ubbthreads/showflat.php/Cat/0/Number/1135041/an/0/page/0#1135041
jezyg
Interesting on the 2.0TDi being nose heavy exactly why I prefer the petrol 1 Series to the Derv one. Yes the TFSi engine is so much better than the 1.8T. Does anyone know if the 1.8 TFSi now in the A3 will make it into the current A4 before it's demise? The 1.8T must be nearing the end after being used in so many VAG products including a Leon Cupra I had a few years back!!!
Cupramax
Thought I recognised your sig, did you used to post on Cupranet? Very much doubt the new 1.8TFSi will go in the current A4 incarnation.
Booster
I can get you 7.5% off a new one at a dealership that is very close to Derby. Or you can just tell Derby that you can get 7.5% off and get them to match it

Being close to end of the current model thought it might be wishful thinking having a final engine change!
Dblanc
I got over 8% off at John Fox Audi in Nottingham and that was in Jan 2006, over 6 months before they finally released the 2.0TFSI manual. Funnily enough I went in with the uknewcars price and they almost match it. My dealings with Derby Audi have been shocking, they didn't seem bothered whether they sold me a car or not. Hence I went to Nottingham for the car.
DanG
Been doing research into this for the last week... I am looking to order a 2.0T S-line Cab this weekend and so far i have the following on line: Whatcar Target price - 6.06% drivethedeal.com - 6.95% carsandfinance.com -9.58% Both of these are Audi main dealer supplied and UK cars. There are rumours of 10% being available etc from dealers if you really haggle.... also bear in mind that the B7 is on its way out, but equally the B8 cab will not arrive until late 2008 - 2009. 7.5% seems a good place to start.... Any impartial sales people on here?

DanG
Judging by yesterdays talks with dealers 12% is very difficult to obtain, particularly now the 'summer' has arrived... Still, all is not lost, and there are some discounts to be had, and additional extras to be thrown in....
