VR32
Any of you guys (still running the standard exhaust) completed this little mod? Does it make any difference to sound/performance like it does the MkIV? Also is the process done the same way as the MkIV? Thanks in advance

VR32
Thanks for the reply khutula. Unfortunately couldn't see a pic at the end. I've located the pipe, but trying to remove its a different story. How hard do I have to pull, its lodged on there pretty damn tight?? So say I do get it off, is there any chance of a 'Check Engine' light coming on or is that only if the pipes not sealed tight enough?
khutula
Here is the picture from the other thread No idea how hard - oooh err - as I have a MKIV - sorry
MattRS74
VR32, Exactly the same issue here on my MK5. The MK4 pictures appear to show a simple push on pipe - buy mine feels much more like a fitted connection i.e. theres some type of plastic connector between the flap unit and the rubber pipe. Like yourself, I don't want to end up snapping something off ! I did clamp the pipe one saturday morning - that works. Sounds awesome - but I didn't want to leave a clamp floating under the car ! ClimberSP
Better is to press, and so the air can pass so the pump doesnt work. You will loose some power at low revs.
