I'm sure you've asked this already.

TBH fella - you might need to establish yourself a bit more in this community before asking for stuff for yourself for free. If it were for charity - different matter - but asking for something for nowt is somewhat of a liberty.

Incidently, have you tried freecycle.org ?

sorry i didn`t mean it to sound like that, i`ll try and explain,

I work with a few others out in the field so to speak, but recently have managed to get hold of a nice size room for us at work for the others and me to do the office bits of work, all of us at work have laptops but under no circumstances are allowed to do internet stuff, only intranet, (discipline cases at work prove this), so i have been asked if i can get hold of an old pc that someboby was going to throw out, and get it to work a use it for internet only in our new room. my work will not buy a pc as they will not be able to trace what sites we have been to, not that we look at them sort if sites, if you see what i mean.

Might be worth having a look on Freecycle It was featured on "The Gadget Show" a few weeks ago, they managed to get hold of a not too bad spec pc IIRC 169144-ok.gif
