shark_90
MrsShark and I are thinking about driving over to the south of France for a holiday. Can anyone recommend a rough area to go to? We're looking for a relaxing 5 days - 1 week somewhere picturesque, quiet and sunny. Ideas appreciated
Oli
[ QUOTE ] Can anyone recommend a rough area to go to? [/ QUOTE ] Surely you want to go to a nice area?? We went just east of Beregerac last June, and it was abeautiful part of france, nice and hot, great scenery, food, and not very busy
gizze
I would look at Port Grimaud and the Surounding area, really is lovely round there. When you say quiet do you mean nothing around you or not Magaluf!?
gizze
If you want somewhere that is french, got some places to eat and somewhere to have a drink then look at the following places... Frejeus St Raphaél La Croix Valmer Beaulieu They are all nice places and you have St Tropez, Cannes and Monte Carlo near you so plenty to do. JamesB
Also consider somewhere down near the Pyrenees - Pyrénées-Orientales department maybe. Warm (avoid August, though - too warm), often less expensive than the Riviera, and you have the mountains nearby as well as the sea.
