News_Stig
These are the first Official pictures of what is likely to become the new Audi Q3 in 2010 and is set to challenge the Landrover Freelander and BMW X3. With this new model squarely aimed at the lifestyle end of the SUV market it has been designed with all the extra toys required by those that need to pass over today's many high street speed bumps and features to help keep the notes in the wallet not at the bottom of another tank of fuel. The car will have three different driving style settings that will change different areas of the car; Dynamic, Sport and Efficiency. Sport gives erm, well a sporty ride for when you need to tackle those back road bends in your 4x4. Dynamic is used for normal day to day driving but its Efficiency that's going to help your wallet. This mode changes the engine mapping and even turns off elements of the car such as the air-conditioning compressor amongst other things to help provide the maximum efficiency possible. It will also have the MMI and many other new features that this class of car will required. Looks, well I'm not sure I have to say. To me it doesn't really move the game on much, its got elements of BMWs flame surfacing in the doors and a traditional Avant slope to the rear and the glass area at the top does slope in a lot it might feel cosy in there for what won't be a small car. Prices well its to early to tell but its easily going to be £20k upwards. Source - Car Magazine Online Discussed in the TSN Audi Q 4x4 forums here.
