sgn
I've noticed there are several airflow meters advertised on Ebay as being suitable for the same model but they have different part numbers, does this mean i could fit one with a different number to mine and it would be ok ?Also does a PIERBURG probe fit a Bosch housing and which is better? Thanks for any suggestions.
Rustynuts
Pierburg mafs will fit a tdi housing with a little modification (so I'm lead to believe). You have to remove a small piece of plastic with a sharp knife. TDI genuine mafs are slightly different to the petrol versions which lots of people sell on ebay. If I remember correctly, the petrol mafs overfuel the engine when fitted to a tdi.Better with a pierburg maf than a petrol one. The Pierburg ones are used by Mercedes in their CDi engines I believe. benjie
Apparently the pierberg MAF's are good, though I only have that on hear'say ("Pure and Simple") but if you buy any other MAF it's a waste of money - buy a genuine MAF as it's the only guaranteed way to get the car performing as it should.
