Frodo
I need to replace my two front tyres as one has a bulge in the sidewall, thankfully they are near the end of their life. Currently I have the Michelin Pilot Sport PS2 which I have been very happy with and much better than the original Pirelli. However, they are pretty expensive. I am looking for a slightly cheaper tyre without loosing too much of the performance. Therefore, using Etyres as my source I am thinking about: Goodyear Eagle F1 GSD3 Goodyear Excellence Anything worth considering from: Bridgestone Dunlop Toyo Continental Cheers, Paul
Dandle
I have Eagle F1s(GSD3) on both my cars and am really happy with them, they grip superbly in the dry and nearly as well in the wet. Goodyear have just brought out a new high performance Eagle tyre though called the Eagle F1 Asymmetric which apparantly has better dry grip and less noise than the GSD3s. Heres a link to an old tyre REVIEW, its worth a read as most of the tyres are still current models.
Wallachie
I ran my last S3 with GSD3's (two sets) and I wouldn't have went for anything else, really good tyre and very well priced. Road noise I didn't find to be an issue, wet grip was very good compared to the Bridgestone RE040's and Bridgestone SO3's that I ran on my 1st S3. Phil84afc
I go for Michelin Sport Primacy. Have been very good and cost me about £100 per corner (for 17's)
alfiejts
Costco do Michelin tyres at very good prices. If you're happy with those, you probably can't beat their prices by much even choosing a different tyre from somewhere else. I'm sure you could find a friend with a Costco membership if you need to... For a 225/40-18 for mine, including fitting, balancing, vat, disposal and anything else you can think of, it was about £120 per corner...
