I've never thought about it before, but I guess at the 'Ring there wouldn't be flag marshalls at every corner like you'd have at a normal circuit.

Or is there and they weren't doing their job?

The marshals are normally on bikes and go round once something happens... that what i saw when i was out there.

God knows how they are informed unless they are alerted by drivers who return to the start of the track after a lap..

CCTV covers a decent part of the track and several people (myself included) go out with the Ring Marhsall's mobile number 169144-ok.gif

Your going to have to pm me that number (if its alright) as my mates are going without me this year in a weeks time.. frown.gif

I will pass it on accordingly...

I was wrong, it's actually the office number. I assume the one where you pay and where the marshall sit, anywhere, here is the link from Ben Lovejoy's site;

Why on earth would you stop like a prat in that spot??? He must have had enough momentum to roll off the racing line FFS!!... slap.gif

With the front nearside wheel of his S3 hanging off, no, the car probably didn't want to go very far after kerb / barrier interface.

Yes running up the track waving your arms while cars whiz past at 180mph doesn't seem like a good idea yelrotflmao.gif

I'd expect others to do it for me if I was around a blind bend in the middle of the road and hence I'd do it for others. You of course go along the edge on the safest side and make yourself visible....and of course stand close to a barrier so that you can hop over is needed.

At the end of the day it is the law but even more than that, it's a dangerous place and you need to look out for each other.
