wyliss
I have heard that Pinnacle Souveran is good.....any other must have suggestions before I place my order this week? Also who is good on price etc?
drpellypo
I use the souveran - it's lasted nearly two years and still has probably another 4 or 5 applications left. You could try Natty's Blue as well. That's got good write-ups. Don't bother with the prem brands - Zymol etc. You can get just as good results with the cheaper stuff. drpellypo
I've no idea. Not used the Natty's! From what I gather it's much of a muchness tbh. A few people on detailingworld have said the Souveran doesn't last that long but I've waxed it and still been using water only to wash the car 6 or 7 weeks later. johnss8
If your looking around the Souveran price then you could try Victoria Concours, I've moved on from Souveran and now use Swissvax Best of Show awesome wax

steelwind101
I have Souveran, its good b/c its quick and easy to apply and you can get it done quickly as you will have to do it often. Having got the small container of Victoria i was impressed but time to apply by hand and buff and move on is a little time consuming. As far as Nattys goes it pretty much one of the best waxes, simply b/c of what you get for the money you pay. Its rather wet looking and hard to fault. I have to say even though i have enjoyed a number of more premium waxes i still apply FK1 Pink Wax or Megs 16 to solid colours and love it. One thing i would say is that when you apply a sealant is that it can change how the final look of a wax is. It seems very much to be an UK thing to go crazie with high-end waxes which in alot cases will make little difference over a good lower cost wax. If you see many of the Pros on the USA sites its more about prep. etc and (all though you cant tell everything from pictures) i would be hard pushed to choose an expensive wax over a £30-£40 one. Maxyboy
I used souveran after advice from this forum and i have to say it is very good stuff, produces a brilliant shine and is so very easy to work with. The only downside i can see with it is it doesnt seem to stay on the car for a great deal of time. But if your like me, regular top ups are no problem. It also gives me another excuse to post a pic up of the car with the souveran, and another product i was very pleased with, was the chemical guys wet miror finish, i would recommend those two to anyone. Vagabond
Here, maxyboy! since you're so keen and you did a got job, i'll bring mine down and leave it with you for the day
McGee
Silver is a hard colour to get a superb finish like darker col.ours. On one of my silver cars I use Swissol Onyx which gives a superb finish. Although I have yet to try it the new Chemical Guys JetSeal 109 is giving some awesome results and at about 1/4 the price of the Swissol products it has to be worth a go. Maxyboy
Course we would. Goes without saying. I may be up in your neck of the woods this weekend, i'm either going to visit a mate inpaisley or headin to knockhill, havnt made my mind up yet. Probably knockhill as he frequents pubs on the paisley road a bit much for my liking.

wyliss
Pinnacle Souveran or P21's ??
steelwind101
Souveran if you can afford the extra. Petes 53 is suppose to be good and i have seen it in the flesh now but acutally used it, its £20 and was very nice looking, better the P21s.
