S4teve
If your other wheels are all as new I would try and go for a new one. Refurbing a wheel to it's genuine orignal colour and finish is possible but I would not trust many people to do it. Audi Dealers certainly do not restore to new and neither will many other refurb places. All four of my wheels are dealer refurbed and they do look good but the finish is not as durable. Stone chips etc are more noticable - at some stage they will need doing again.

macdond
Allen Once had this problem with a old car when I took it into a certain tyre company, the saying can't get worse than a k**k fit fitter comes to mind. Anyway, basically the so called tyre fitter damaged every single wheel and tried to hide the fact. Needless to say I was furious and they tried to wriggle out of it saying the marks where already there. However when the boss got involved I ended up with a brand new set of alloys. It was me I be asking for a new wheel rather than having all the hassle of having a wheel refurbished.
cabboy
Ask for a new alloy wheel. It was perfect when you went in there, it was damaged when you came out. End of story. CB
Kaskat
Same happened to me six months back, I was offered a wheel refurb which I flatly declined, stuck to my guns about a new wheel and in the end they could not refuse. Its only right as they have caused the damage and with the technology available today there is no excuse for a tyre fitter to damage a wheel. DO NOT ACCEPT A REFURB JOB DEMAND A NEW WHEEL. allen
end of the day no, rang C.A.B, they said because the car is not new they dont have to supply a new alloy, scratches polished out (wernt that bad to be honest), just went on one because of the lack of care in fitting tyre. gonna be trading it soon anyway (e46 m3)
