thepm
Hi One of my rear parking sensor is a dud (I think). Does anyone know were I can get one from? I was going to get one from Audi but they said they can not order it until I pay for it, no problem but we can not take credit card details over the phone because of "security issues"! I am not going to drive to the dealer to order the part to then drive back again to pick it up, pay for it on collection is not an option. I did try ebay but know luck and have tried a scrap yard with a D3 in but they had all gone. It is part 4B0 919 275E. Does anyone know how to test them by the way? I assume if you connect a battery across the positive and earth, the middle pin will give a varying voltage depending on distance but I could not seem to make it do much. Atomic
Someone with VagCom should be able to diagnose if you have a faulty sensor. Check/ask on the VagCom forum. Also theres a few indys that stock a8 parts... [email protected] being one of them. Giving them the part number is probably enough together with the payment provided your sure its the sensor. thepm
Cheers, I will give them a try. Well Audi are sure it is a sensor, which makes me nervous if you know what I mean! Philip
nikw
VAGParts, in addition to not messing you about on the phone, should be usefully cheaper than the stealer. They have access to the same genuine parts network but presumably lower overheads allow them to undercut the stealer by 10% or more. I've found them helpful and friendly
thepm
I sent a mail to vagparts and the parking sensor is £42 inc vat compared to £63 from Audi which is a real saving so they will be getting the order, not that Audi want my money apparently!
