Mook
Isn't it some lunatic price, like £3 a litre?
Mook
The answer's in the article - £2.42 a litre. If they're punting it as trackday fuel, I get about 9mpg average on a full trackday. That's a shed load less money to spend on beer in the evening...

Mook
99.9 for Optimax last night. BP Ultimate was 102.9 when I had to stick £20 in to get home the other night. Money. Pit
Decked
Sounds expensive! But I may give it a go with the VF race file! I did see BP testing the 102 fuel at Goodwood last year doing dyno pulls and yes it did improve the bhp but the Porsche they were using was "only" gaining 60bhp.... Mook
[ QUOTE ] I paid £101.9 for V-Power the other morning, £57 for a tank full. Nice [/ QUOTE ] Oh, you actually look at the total price for a tank...? I stopped doing that a long time ago - I just fill up (not facing the pump), walk into the garage, tell them the pump number and pretend not to hear what they say when they tell me the amount... khutula
I try not to look but I am one of these people that likes to put in a round pound Unforunately they are a very regular appearance on my Bank statement so they are hard to miss

khutula
[ QUOTE ] 96.9 for us lucky northerners !!! [/ QUOTE ] Wow! I thought Hull was expensive for petrol. At least it was last time I went there, but that was a few years ago now. I can't believe you are considering selling the .:R if its that cheap
Tumbletop
[ QUOTE ] I paid £101.9 for V-Power the other morning, £57 for a tank full. Nice [/ QUOTE ] £101.9/litre? Crikey thats a lot. You only had enough money to put half a litre in then? On a more serious note - I'm following the Mook principle of filling up, except I go and pick up a bunch of car mags at the same time. That way when the bill it £60+ I just think "hmm these magazines are getting expensive" Does anyone else find it depressing that by the time they've driven home after filling up, even though it might only be 3-5 miles, the petrol gauge is already showing just a bit less than maximum?
