CMC950
Hi, Anyone know who is the best mobile valet company in london - Full Valet for about £100? Thanks
drpellypo
If by Valet you mean just a clean, then why not just take it to a drive through place? If you mean detail, as in, someone who will actually take care of your car, you're looking at a very minimum of £250. Probably add £100 to that if you're in the city. Hence why most of us do this stuff ourselves

CMC950
Not really the answer I was looking for! I mean a detail. Several mobile units suggest full valet services for about £100 - £150. Are any of these any good?
Jamiekip
Get what you pay for I'm afriad - if it's just a minor detail why not speak to Paul Dalton - Mircale Detail - he's probably the best known detailer around www.miracledetail.co.uk It ain't cheap but he uses the best products and your car will look like new. As said above - it's way so many people get their own kit and keep on top of ntheir cars themselves. JK Premier Miracle Detail A great way to see the difference a Miracle Detail can make. Although this process takes less time and has less stages than the Connoisseur Miracle Detail, no less care is taken. A good introduction to Miracle, or as an interim treatment between Connoisseur bookings. Estimated time: 5 - 6 hours Estimated cost: £350 21-Stage Miracle natural wash with wheels, arches and door shuts cleaned Wheels cleaned with P21s wheel gel and a boar's hair wheel brush Full paintwork decontamination (removes embedded contaminants) Hand-dried using microfibre drying towels Paintwork cleansed (pre-wax cleaner) Vintage wax (61% rare White Carnauba) application Tyres and exterior plastics cleaned and conditioned Exterior windows and mirrors cleaned and polished Water repellant treatment to all exterior windows All chrome and stainless steel surfaces cleaned and polished Interior detail and leather conditioning at extra cost

bpsmith
Dont forget that the above does not appear to contain any Paintwork Correction of any kind so dont expect "Miracles" from that package either. Well worth the cost for Sir Paul's care and attention to detail but not going to make the car totally swirl free and perfect.
CMC950
Thanks, I'm not after a £15 wash and go or a £350 makeover, my car is only a year old it doesn't need it. I just want a better than normal car wash and polish. Many places like dial-a-detail offer a full valet for £100. All I want to know is, is there a recomended one in London? Jamiekip
For a £100 i'd do it!!!
bpsmith
If it has never been detailed then you would be surprised at how much muck can be removed from a car that is only a year old!

McGee
Waterless Valet is asking for scratches and swirls. For a £100 you will not notice enough difference over a £5 car park Kosovan job. I can do a full machine polish for you but your looking at £250 upwards depending on the car and where you are. Also you will have to wait as I have a que. Just depends on what you want and how much you want to spend.
steelwind101
I think what he wants is someone to clean the car well + slap on some wax or decent one stepper to give some zing and freshen up the interior. I think waterless means rinseless in there case?? Rinseless washes are fine in more cases then you would think and popular in many countries. drpellypo
CPC - tbh you simply can't buy what you're after. The only exception is the likes of fellow TSN members doing it for you. That dialadetail place firstly doesn't have a single photo of any cars they've done, which isn't a good start, and they also state themselves as detailers, but only offer valets. You have to realise there is a massive difference between the two. Why don't you just get some products and do it yourself? There is oodles of advice on here, and you'll more than likely find you'll enjoy it. In summary: Detail = expensive, but proper care taken of your car. Valet = cheaper, but very likely they'll use the same leathers/sponges etc over and over again. Someone like Paul will always turn up with completely uncontaminated (and clean) cloths etc. You'll be amazed at the difference this makes. The real difference is the name, no more no less. Not all valeters work with low standards and not all detailers work to high standards. Sorry but mis-informed and bad judgement on generalisations such as those you have said gives the whole industry a bad name.

Many detailers offer services other then correction. If they are dedicated and like the job then you will get good results, just not as great as if you were having a detail. Can someone please volunteer to do his car?? Geoff
CMC950
Thanks all. For everybodys info I got a full valet and polish done at the weekend by 'some Kosovans' if you like. £60. To be honest I was well chuffed. The car, as I said before, was only a year old so not in bad nick and now it looks spotless. They used decend products (Autoglym) and there don't appear to be any swirls on the car. Also I checked some areas that I was fussy about (exhaust tips, door surounds, underside of bonnet, plastic around wipers, interior A pillers, grill honeycombe) and they've all been done brilliantly. I really appreciate everyones advice but its a car, not a diamond, I think machine polishing the car for £300+ is a little over zealous frankly.
