Domus
Hard to believe the A4 Avant is three years old, the tester said he knew it would pass just by looking at her from across the carpark. Just the few stone chips on the bonnet's leading edge spoil her still glorious good looks. In that time the only warranty work needed was to rectify a couple of squeaks from the rear seat/luggage cover area and a slight knocking on a right front steering joint. A spirited drive to Ingolstadt, with a trip round the Ring thrown in, was the highlight of the last three years. Two services, six tyres, and one brake fluid change. She sports an ipod link, chrome mirror covers and a new little Audi torch Ahhhh. All she needs now is a trip to Star Performance as a birthday treat. All in all very happy with her, she's no S3, but I think I will keep her a bit longer.

SPLiiX
[ QUOTE ] How did you get to 240 from 190? [/ QUOTE ] I wouldn't know MOT good reminder! 2months and its my turn. Like you, to save time the MOT tester should just take one look out the window and write out the MOT! Another 8k miles (that will 50k) and I will need discs and Pads, 4 new tyres and about then, a service. Hope I win the lottery! When a car looks this good you don't have to consider selling it! Domus
What I meant was, Star are quoting 217 for the 190 engine. What have you done to get 240?
shark_90
The figures quoted and the figures gained are often different. Tuners will generally give you a lower figure as a quote because they feel confident they'll hit that and higher

[/ QUOTE ] The only real extra at the time was the Oettinger alloy intake. The car showed 207 BHP on the standard map with the intake. Oettinger claim 5 BHP and Jim thought that sounded about right. Also the map on my car runs a little more boost at the top end to take advantage of the intake. Take a look HERE HTH BUB
