Second A6 Le Mans Edition Added

Impressively equipped new addition commemorates the Audi R10 TDI’s already highly successful Le Mans racing career

A second A6 Le Mans Edition model, powered by the 2.7-litre common rail piezo injection TDI engine with 180PS, is now available in addition to the 3.0-litre TDI version launched last year. Priced from £30,500 OTR, the new A6 2.7 TDI Le Mans Edition can be ordered in both Saloon and Avant body styles and with either front-wheel-drive or quattro four-wheel-drive.

Based on the already very well appointed S line model, the Le Mans Edition adds 19-inch 7-arm double-spoke alloy wheels, Volterra leather upholstery, heated front seats, rear acoustic parking and metallic or pearl effect paint for a premium of just £115. Prices start from £30,500 OTR for the A6 2.7 TDI Le Mans Edition.

The two A6 Le Mans TDI specials commemorate the Vorsprung Durch Technik brand’s diversification into diesel power in last year’s gruelling 24 Hours of Le Mans marathon race, which was crowned by the Audi R10 TDI sports prototype’s victory on its maiden Le Mans outing. The R10 TDI will be in action again at Le Mans 2007 on June 16th and 17th.

If I'm 'the guy above' I was only commenting on how I thought this was in fact new news as the original Le Mans was only availble as a 3.0TDi. I wont bother in the future, much more knowledgable people here than myslef even if it is in their heads.........

And as I'm clearly the 'above guy' I was merely stating that this news, whilst it is news, was announced over two months ago crazy.gif
