News_Stig
TSN News - Full info on the new Pirelli Special Edition here. Will it come to the UK I wonder ?

dogbucket
I think anytime you put bright yellow in or on a car it is a bold call. And the tire track seats are 'different' I will stick to my more tasteful Edition 30, more resellable.
RedRobin
I really don't like that custard yellow colour .
silentandy
Isn't it basically just an ED30 in yellow and with different wheels? Better wheels than the ED30 I might add..

pany
very nic wheels, but they do look very similar to those on the seat leon,
OzGTI
Don't mind the wheels , but still not in the same class as the Monza's. Apart form the custard colour it looks pretty good - better than the ED30 somehow., Generally I think special editions of this type are anything but special, though the interior seating treatment looks classy- the little you can see form the pics. ekin_88
[ QUOTE ] Here's a pic of the wheels: [/ QUOTE ] Yuck, they would be a pain to clean and also i like the Monza's better any one found out how much one will cost ? but its not coming into a uk, except possible an Import, Since the MY08 is coming out at the end off 2008 poss, VW is trying to rip every last sale in the next 18 months as its bringing out yet another version. OzGTI
It seems like it might be special edition after special edition to keep interest and volumes up until the Mk VI. We don't have the ED30 , so I'm not sure whether we will have to endure any of these here. My car went into service today, 2 years. It was the first time I had seen GTI's sitting in stock waiting for buyers. One in the showroom, one of the forecourt and one in the back yard - all silver. Up until recently they had pretty much been on a waiting list. Now I see two or three a day.
JonnyGTi
There is a small write in this weeks Autoexpress on the GTI Pirelli - says that the Pirelli Special WILL make it to UK dealers. Based on the Edition 30 with same engine. It will come in a choice of bright yellow, pearl black, silver or graphite blue .

Mook
Bit restricted on the colours on the Pirelli version. Black, silver or yellow, IIRC. Shame it's not available in Steel Grey.

Snoopy
The Pirelli LTD edition mk1 golf GTI is what was called the campaign LTD in the UK in 1983 so really this car is the True sucsessor to celebrating the history and phenomenon that is the golf GTI its also available in blue and imo better colour choices than the ed30. RedRobin
I would hope that the blue version of the Pirelli Ed has blue and not yellow stitching!
