The drivers window has stopped working properly and only goes up stop start fashion if you hold the switch up for a while. Would this be a dodgy switch or something worse? NickGUK Posted May 21, 2007 Report Share Posted May 21, 2007 sounds to me like it just needs some lubrication, its probably a bit "rough / dry" in the tracks and the anti pinch is kicking in and stopping the window as its feeling a load as it goes up. thenamesross Posted May 22, 2007 Author Report Share Posted May 22, 2007 Had a look and seems to be running freely enough (when it works) and dont think its sticking. Seems more like some kind of electrical thing where it keeps loosing contact? Only seems to go up as your are driving along going over bumps with the switch held up... Ska Posted May 25, 2007 Report Share Posted May 25, 2007 I reckon its a dodgy switch my friend or at the very least a corroding conection to that switch; have you had a look at swaping the switch loom to one of the other window switches and see what goes on? PsYcHe Posted May 25, 2007 Report Share Posted May 25, 2007 I beleive there's also a thing called the regulator(?) in the window mechanics which can go and stops the window going up properly.
