Golfer
Hi Guys, this is aimed at Craigb really, I have got the last of the RS4's (got it last week), the audio will not reduce in volume or mute when the navigation voice guidance comes on, therefore you miss what the womam says!!!!!!!!!!! I have been told to go into the engineers menu on the nav system to edit the setting. Press Left Nav button 5 secs, then press nav button right 5+ secs, and this then changes to eng/menu, using s/wheel buttons navigate too.......................... craig any help on this one please.... PetrolDave
The volume is only reduced when it's too loud (in Audi's opinion) for the navlady to be heard "over the top", it doesn't always reduce.
craigyb
Hard for me to say anything as I never use an RNS-E, on the A8 I can set how low the radio goes when the Nav lady starts chattering away.
Golfer
OK nowhere fast, tried the engineers program and altered the volume, but once ignition turned on and off it reverts to how it was!!! Just have to live with it.

PetrolDave
[ QUOTE ] Me too much better option [/ QUOTE ] Some of the instructions just get repeated too many times. On a stretch of road near home with roundabouts every 100 yards or so for 1/2 mile she never stops talking!!!
kite
Its cool being able to stop a woman talking
gtiller
Agreed - nav lady is set to silent. It is handy, as you can press the volume up/down roller on the MFSW if you want her to say anything! That way, she speaks when you need her, and at no other time... ... come to think of it, can I get one of these at home use?
