cruiser647
Whilst purchasing some fresh bread rolls in Sainsbury's this morning, I glanced through Autocar. In it they have the M5 versus the new V8 Vx from Oz. The Vx gives a good account of itself, obviously and it ultimatley looses, but not by a massive margin. However, for less than half the BMW's price, you can't go wrong. Looking through the pics, the interior of the Vx looks nicer (IMHO). The Vx is also bigger and slightly heavier, but has much less technology. For me, it'd be a hard choice - both have fab engines, but the interior lets the BM down. So a tough call - if I was in the market!!!!
theduisbergkid
Hmm, throw depreciation into the mix and it gets interesting. How about a 3 year old used M5 instead ?
Rustynuts
I don't think you'll get one 3 years old. When did they start building them?
Mook
Here's the thing, though, Cruiser - it's a Vauxhall! I just wish GM would stick to the Holden brand as an upmarket version of Vauxhall. Those bloody Aussies, need to let go of their brand and let us use it in the UK.

I appreciate the qualities of the Monaro but wouldn't even consider one with a Vauxhall badge. It's somehow fraudulent for Vauxhall UK to try and claim they are responsible for anything more than an FR shopping cart. Its as if Vauxhall is uncomfortable with being a part of the GM multinational, e.g. separate dealerships for Corvette and Caddillac.
