JamesCG
Picked my S3 up from the dealers late this afternoon. Got it in Brilliant Red with multi function steering wheel, center arm rest and Audi Symphony. Its raining and getting dark out here so will post pics tomorrow hopefully. But it looks great - silver and red. I have a question though, has anyone taken the service plan ? They were offering it me for £31 a month for 19 months (10% discount). Is this worth it ? Cupramax
Congrats on the new arrival How many miles do you do? Thats £589 total so you'd have to do some mileage for servicing to cost that much for 19 months (why 19 months?) . Stealer ripoff as usuall but its really down to how many miles you do... JamesCG
Oh should have added that would cover my next two services. So at the moment it is like 4 years worth for me. I do like 7 or 8k a year right now.
shao_khan
I think on something like the S3 the top end service plan with tyres could pay for itself. I was quoted £45 per month over 4 yrs for service, maintenance and tyres, which gives £540 per year cost, and I estimate at least 1 set of tyres per year for us, so that doesnt work out too bad. Although it only cost us £154 for the first service(Walton Audi). The service program isnt designed to save you money, its designed for people who are scared of paying for a service in one lump. We just put the money that we would have paid for the service scheme into a bank account and it leaves a load of money left.
Sparky
Yes, please post pics! I'm really close to ordering a Sprint Blue one, but more Red pics would be great.

JamesCG
I am not worried about one lump sum. I not going to take it, was just wondering what peoples views were. Also after seeing a spirit blue one at the garage and my red one I have to say red is better - can't beat red and silver
shao_khan
I thought the packages were good - easp as they are also 0% interest - so its there money not yours. Depends on what you estimate will happen. From personal experience mY A4 had 2 services - first £280 and second £700 that was 40k miles. It used a set of front tyres in MK every 8 - 10k miles (5 sets) and was on second set of rears. £200 for a pair x 6 = £1200 - it soon mounts up. In fact I think I read somewhere that primary colours add an extra 100kgs to the weight of a car...
S3ENVY
Got a build week of 28, (July 9th onwards), & it'll turn up mid August-ish so might aswell wait for Sept 1st.
JamesCG
Only takes 3 week for it to be ready for pick up at the dealers. I'd say you were looking at end of July. Mine had a build date of the 28th May and I collected it today - 3 weeks.

[/ QUOTE ] That's a bit steep, I was quoted about £34 a month for all inclusive servicing, consumables and tyres for 3 years... Which I went for given the cost of a set of tyres. quick pic for the sake of it (and cos I haven't posted one here yet). It's not the best photo, I need to go to a suitable location when the weathers good. But still
