As of Saturday 23rd June I will be the new owner of Subaru Impreza WR1 no 372 (of 500 for those that did not know)

320bhp of great sillyness.

I think i got a good deal on it. Included the private plate that the car currently has (would only really suit a WR1), years tax and a few other bits and bobs. Gave me a fair trade in on mine. If anyone want's my 1996 WRX, drop me a PM.

Congrats! jump.gif

Having had a WRX, you'll know what sort of motoring to expect 169144-ok.gif. What colour is yours?

Think they only come in that colour. 169144-ok.gif

They are all "Ice Blue", none come in the "WR" blue that is the "Subaru World Rally Blue" colour. Ari, if someone tells you they have a dark(er) blue WR1, they either are trying one on, or have an STi with a WR1 wing on the back. Or the've been sold a pup.....

Dave, not sure when We'll be down your way at the moment.

It really is a very silly car. Up to about 2K revs there is nothing, then all hell breaks loose and carries on breaking loose until (I think 8K revs) when the limiter comes in. it works out at about 230 BHP per tonne, That might just be enough.

Comes with Subaru Service history and Quimby's are doing the 3 year service before I pick it up.

This will hopefully be another keeper and the residuals are good on the WR1 (and have not yet been impacted by the RB320). It's only done 17K miles in nearly 3 years and so it's in good nick. Couple of stone chips on the bonnet, but hey ho. Might get one of the cleaning guru's to have a good go at it and get it all sorted out before I put many more miles on it.

320bhp out of a 2L flat 4 is a fair amount so I'll not be modding it apart from some TSN stickers grin.gif

I'll try to get to the MK Meet in July if I can.

Must be another special edition then. I had a look as I came up the road earlier, his has STI and WRX badges on and the STI badges are pink, does that mean anything?

Is mid blue with gold wheels (although they're not standard wheels I don't think).

Anyway, off topic, yours looks lovely Simon. 169144-ok.gif

In that case it's a WRX STi - 265bhp 169144-ok.gif

The full name for mine is

Subaru Impreza WRX STi WR1 yelrotflmao.gif

Not surprising that they are just known as WR1's
