NunchukHamster
.....and bought myself a new toy. Couple of weeks back I asked for opinions on ST200's & Vectra GSi's. But then I thought, I don't actually need four doors provided there is actually rear legroom and I can get my 6'6" frame in the drivers seat for upto 8 hours a day in comfort. After lots of looking and thinking, I bought myself a Volvo C70 T5 in mint condition with full history for £4,800. I collect it from the garage on Thursday. Yes, I know they don't corner too well in standard guise, but I've already found a localish Volvo modifier. Rica re-map gives 304Bhp and 430nm of torque!! Will post pictures soon as I get it. Dave
There's some good suspension upgrades out there too.. have a look at the stuff by Bilstein, i was very tempted to do my C70 T5, but never got round to it.
NunchukHamster
Yes, looking at that very seriously, looks like I will be spending a few quid at RT Mechanics in Liphook
theduisbergkid
C70 T5, absolute bargain motor. 300+ bhp easy, dead comfy, well specced and no 'BMW Image' issues. OK, they don't corner, drink fuel like nothing else, and need tyres every other week, but for the money ? Bargain. Did you get the GT pack too ? Awesome stereo. My old T5R TWR needed front tyres every 6000 miles of careful driving. Not cheap....

NunchukHamster
It's 2000 on a W plate, 80, 440 miles now, 2 owners, full service history. It's the GS not the GT, but seems to have a few bits that belong to the GT (i.e. cruise, climate control, and a full-leather interior). One scratch that needs sorting on the front wing is all I can find wrong. And it goes VERY pleasantly!
OldSkoO1
Thats a good bargain there! You'll scare a lot of people on the motorway if you appear in their rear view, if you know what i mean
