Ian_C
Excellent, another pig iron Mk3 Fiesta off the roads. If you look closely you can actually see the flood water turning red with rust around the car. Ian
Rustynuts
It's not even that deep there. She shouldn't have stalled unless there's something strange about the air intake on a Fiesta, is there?
garcon magnifique
Stupid cow. You can imagine her phoning home... "Darling the car won't start ... No, I did that ... I think the engine's flooded..."

Tarmac_Terrorist
If she got out of that car to walk to safety the flood water would rise another foot. IMO that's no accident and the insurance company should refuse to pay out.

Ari
Looks like the car was still running for a bit (bubbles around the offside rear). Looks quite a large blonde though, bless her...
330dcoupe
Rant: What the f*** is it with women drivers in this country? Why do they lack soo much fekin common sense when they get behind the wheel of a car? I seriously don't care what anyone says, I've yet to come across a 'decent' woman driver who has road common sense (personally) This is not me being a male chauvinist when i say this, but I wish they would get off the f****** road. This evening I was cut off by a moronic female driver in her little tin pot and when i expressed my displeasure by flashing my light (once) she pulled back into the other lane looked over as i drove past and appeared to call me a wan*er and a racist name (both words start with B) - I was on a busy duel carriage way - otherwise i would have forced her to stop and beg for forgiveness! haha Rant over: rant off:
R32Ash
I'm not sure which one the was the most stupid: the woman in the fester or the reporter - "she's on her mobile phone calling the emergency services; it's very dangerous". Emergency services? What the hell had she been smoking? I'm sure the fire service have better things to do than rescue stupid bints from puddles less than 12" deep. I'd have hosed the daft cow down until she got out of her heap and walked back.
quentinwilson
(a) The car was running while she was sitting out of the window (note bubbles issuing from o/s/r) - therefore, engage reverse, keep the revs up, and steadily go backwards. (b) The water was only about 9" deep, so get out and bloody walk! Hardly a "dangerous situation". But hey! It was a Sky News report, and they are experts at blowing things out of all proportion. Looking at the "puddle", if she'd kept the revs up, and carried on steadily forwards, she would have got through it, even with a grot box like a Fester. Drivers in this sceptred isle go from bad to ridiculous. If that flood was on a motorway, there would be twats on there attempted to go through it at 80mph in cloudburst conditions.
