Thorburn
I had this a while ago and it turned out to be a routing issue with my ISP, it couldn't resolve the IP address and even if I used that after asking a friend it wouldn't receive any packets from it. www.milesie.co.uk didn't work either. CarMad
Works fine for me in firefox. Have you got java installed. BMW site uses it quite a lot. I'd pop over to sun and install the runtime libries.

CarMad
Have you got zonealarms pro or similar installed by any chance ? I've seen those messing with what you see on a web page. I'm using Firefox 2.0.0.4 on XP and the site views just fine for me.

CarMad
No idea. I've got Java installed, check you have and turn off Zonealarms if you have it as a check or any other firewall software you might be running. Dos it display ok in IE or are you having problems in both browsers ?

davyk31
When I go into any BMW dealers website it gives me the list of used cars by series but when I try to view to get a list of the models it does not display them . On other PCs I use there is no problem. Any ideas what might be causing the problem. I have McAfee Security installed.....dunno if that is part of the problem. techieboy
From memory, the BMW site is very Java heavy. So it could well be Macafee blocking some of the functionality. Not familiar enough with it to tell you what to look for - other than disable it temporarily to test. Does your machine have a) have Java script enabled in your browser and b) a reasonably recent Java Virtual Machine installed? Could well be
davyk31
How do I check if I have JavaScript enabled and whether the Java Virtual machine is installed and recent?
CarMad
Go to the SUN site and download the latest Java runtime firstly and see what that does. Are you trying in FF or IE ?

davyk31
When I try to download Java it brings up a message about certificate not valid or something like that and does not go further.
bfc1912
Your spam filter could be stoping you looking at the . Try removing the phrase 'pile of sh!t' from the list of banned words. Have to agree with the Java thing though. Check that you have the Jave options turned on in your browser.
davyk31
The strange thing is that if I go to the main BMW site and search for a particular dealer and then go into the list of their used cars it all works fine. Then if I just go onto the particular dealers website and try to view the used cars it does not work. Kinda makes it sound like the Java options are ok if I can view from the bmw.co.uk site without a problem.
