News_Stig
The diesel Audi R10 was yet again triumphant for the second year on the run. Frank Biela, Marco Werner and Emanuele Pirro completed 369 laps in the 24 hour race to beat of a spirited challenge by Peugeot 908 driven by Sebastien Bourdais, Stephane Sarrazin and Pedro Lamy that finished 10 laps behind the Audi. The other Audis unfortunately didn't finish, the McNish car lasted for 16 hours until a wheel came off causing the car to spin off the track, the third Audi only completed 90 minutes coming off in heavy rain. Welcome back all those Tyresmokers who went to Le Mans and hello to anyone who is new to the forum who might have seen cars with Tyresmoke livery on them and are checking the forum out for the first time. A full thread on the Le Mans with pictures and stories of the weekend can be found here.
