neilmc
hi,can anyone help.I have a new May 2007 a4 sline special edition 2.0T qauttro saloon.I am suffering from steering wheel wobble/shake at between 65-75 mph and then I drive through it.The strange thing is it only happens on certain roads mainly my local dual carriageways, and on various types of surface, but not all.the car has done 950 miles and is on conti sport contact 2's.The tyre pressures from new were 35psi so i have dropped them to 32 with no real difference. Will a rebalance sort this out? and has anyone else suffered this.Thanks. Cupramax
If your cars that new take it back to the dealer, it may just be a balance weight's come off or was never done properly from the factory but yes its more than likely a wheel needs balancing. neilmc
Ok thanks.Actually had a balancing problem on my September 2006 a4 sline special edition quattro after a puncture.Decided to trade it in for this one as it had a few bad faults.Knocking from steering on full lock at parking speeds due to bent suspension arm, full repaint of bootlid and rear drivers side quarter panel due to poor paint quality and various other niggles.Car never felt the same after the paint though as it took 3 attempts by the body shop to get it right! so I decided on a new car! the engine was a cracker though after 6000 miles and the clutch seemed much nicer than my new one, kind of miss it a bit.Still good paint more than makes up for it,and i'm sure the engine and clutch will get better with more miles.
