What would you get next?

Seriously though what are good alternatives to the GTI? I've been getting that itchy feeling recently even though I LOVE my GTI. The problem is I get bored quickly, I'm a fidget, short attentin span etc

It would have to be something priced similar to the GTI and also similar mpg as I do around 18k miles a year... not a diesel.

1/ Audi A31.8T, before that BMW 3 series

2/ A MkVI GTI or R32, the Passat R36(?).

I'd consider the new new A4 when its released. However, the dynamics, especially the ride will need to have improved markedly on the Audi before I'd consider one again.

I don't want to be boring and just opt for the next GTI (with just a colour change) so that's why I'm thinking the R32 might be a bit different.

I think the Passat R36 looks interesting. They don't arrive here until early next year, the Mkvi GTI/R32 until after that so I'm waiting to see what the MkVI looks like before I do anything.

I like the BMW 3 series but every man and his dog owns one. I like the Alfa 159 but I did Alfa's in my youth (GTV6 etc) and won't be going back. Also, I'm not sure the Alfa has the urge I enjoy in the GTI.

Sounds boring doesn't it?

Anyway , a year or 18 months is a long time. I don't feel the urge to part with the GTI like I normally do after 2 years of ownership.
