Dave
I had an e-mail today from a guy called Chris working for a company on behalf of Volkswagen UK... They need your help! [ QUOTE ] Hi Dave, We're working with VW on their new micro-site which has just gone live - www.night-driving.com. The site has several key features, including a video editing competition where users can win an HD video camera. Volkswagen UK are very interested in your community's thoughts about the site and particularly about the video editing mechanism built into it. We'll pass any comments back to Volkswagen UK who will use your community's feedback to help shape the way they communicate with consumers in the future. [/ QUOTE ] So have a look and post back your thoughts. And if anyone wins the camera I only work on 20% comission
zerologic
I saw this on TV the other night and kept meaning to have a look. The site is nice, although i couldn't get "great night drives" maps bit to work, but then that might just be me. I work as an editor and must say I'm quite impressed with the usability of the edit section. I think we trialed a similar programe to this a work a few years back but the streaming technology wasn't up to scratch back then. Things seem to have moved on a great deal as the media here streams well. There seems to be be a good choice of clips. There is enough choice with the transitions and music to keep it interesting and seems to be a decent set of effects. I will certinally be having a play with the footage a bit more indepth and hopefully create a movie. If people create something good can we link back to here so everyone can have a look at each others creative sides?

Basic site layout worked well, very impressive in parts. I'll have another look around later
