Tobes49
I started a 18 month contract, 6 Months ago. The contract included £25 extra pack every month for SMS, MMS and data use. They removed MMS from the extras pack about 3 months ago. They have now removed data use, and charge me 85p per day and per MB. The problem is I use my internet on the phone most days, Thats going to add £20-30 per month to the contract? I have phoned there customer support who were no help apart from offering me a deal for £7.50 per month for 150MB and no daily charge. Should they be offering me something better? Snail
Id personally cancel the contract, send the phone back, and get a new contract that fulfils your needs. They changed from what you needed, so the contract is no longer in your best interest.
Mook
If you go into a Vodafone store, they will help you out. I accept that it's not great, what they've done, in terms of "removing" services from your contract, but there will be a clause within the contract that allows them to do this. [/ QUOTE ] I did pop into the Vodafone store, the chap told me to ring 191, Which was the person saying they are allowed to make changes to the contract. The only thing the person in store said is I can change my package but I've not found one that meets my needs?
Mook
Talk to them - they won't want to lose your business
eolair
if they change the contract, you have a certain period to cancel at no penalty to you. By not cancelling, you're considered to have accepted the new terms. If you read the small print, it'll tell you how long you have to cancel without penalty. Call them and threaten cancelling, and ask for something to make up for it.
Sponge
I was going to say what eolair said. They more than likely do have a clause in the contract allowing them to change the T&Cs; however, changes, especially major ones, should mean you also have the right to cancel the contract yourself. Did they write to you informing you of the changes? Did it say anything about you cancelling within a certain time, if the new conditions were not acceptable? If not, then read the T&Cs you got when you signed up, specifically check the cancellation sections and then call them. Know your rights first and they should accommodate you. [/ QUOTE ] You see this is the problem, I went into the Vodafone shop a couple of days after receiving the letter, He checked and said I needed to phone 191 After the 1 of June (about a week later) because they are launching the new data use packages. I forgot because work been so busy. I'll check the letter tonight it might still be in the 30 day (fingers crossed)
gizze
Just say you got the letter when you called, they will have a log of your call. Unless it was signed for there is nothing they can do.
