shao_khan
Yeah I can and now do use Bedford Audi for Service work as Ihave found them much better and cheaper. Problem is my A2 was purchased from them and trying to ge tthem to fix a simple fault is like pulling teeth.
AsifG
I've always used Bedford Audi and wouldn't take an Audi anywhere else. Phil Gadsby (Service Manager) and Richard Hillier are both excellent......

shao_khan
Just to add to this. S3 was in Wayside to have the shark fin replaced - it has crazed and discoloured. SO get the car back and a scratch across the roof of the car almost full width of the roof. Cant do anything about the kerbed alloy as I cant prove they did it!!!! techieboy
Jeez. Sorry to hear that S_K, have they admitted liability for the roof, at least? Is it something that can be polished out or have they fecked it, big-time?
shao_khan
well the problem is that they can probably polish it out - but currently the paintwork is perfect - no swirl marks or anything - I am actually worried about what they do when they try to fix it. Also it went in because of damaged B-pillar trim - they ordered the wrong part - so not fixed. Went in for Bose - broken speaker - ordered part, broken, so nowt done there either. SO another visit - an no the slightest offer of "How about an Audi Sport fleece for the inconvenience"....
MiguelMcTyson
Wayside tried to charge me £46 for changing a front indicator bulb yesterday, went online found a superb independent about 500 yards down the road all ex Wayside staff and Andy there said pop along and I'll do it while you wait, superb! I gave him a drink but would HIGHLY recommend, http://www.inde-tech.co.uk/
shao_khan
Inde tech are very good - you'll see some good comments in here regarding them. Wayside tried to charge me for an Aircon regass on my A4 - they needed to gass the system to test it was working, and wanted to chage me for the pleasure!!! I cant fault their sales, but service is shocking, if I was their Principle I would be worried that people will travel 20 miles to bedford given a chance. jwo
alternatively vagtech 10 miles south of mk are a very good independent. i now always take the tractor there rather than audi (keiths in aylesbury were very good but at £108/hr labour plus car now is out of warranty why pay?). I had the misfortune to use wayside once - customer services -unbelieveable, shoddy, poor, didn't give a f*** about the customers.

shao_khan
Just to say - Got the S3 back - needed the roof areal replacing as it ws defective. They managed to put a scratch across the width of the car roof ...... [suprisedsmilie]. So they have fixed it and you should see the roof now Full of swirls and bufff marks, they have litterally trashed it. I cant say enough what a bunch of incompetant w@nkers they must employ, I have written Twice to Paul Lacy the dealer principle - guess what kind of reply i have had - Zip..... shao_khan
Well Interesting discussion this morning. Their Quality Manager suggests that perhaps I take my cars elsewhere, as they cant meet my expectations!!!! I did suggest they didnt damage my cars, but he wasnt paying much attention. Anyway - I was about to order a couple of cars - so if Anyone here works for a dealer then drop me a PM, if they dont want my service business then I'll buy elsewhere as well. techieboy
So that's Wayside Audi and Wayside VW that don't want to deal with you anymore? Your obviously becoming infamous in Buckinghamshire. Unbelievable that they actually admit to not being able to meet your expectations. I think its fair to expect that a main dealer will fix a problem first time round and to not cause damage to my cars. Come on Wayside, step up to the plate you muppets, raise your standards to match or exceed your customers expectations of a "premium" brand. Bedford Audi for you now then! shao_khan
I use Bedford for service anyway because they are cheaper. No it looks like I must just be a difficult customer. I said to the guy that all I expect was for them not to damage my cars and me not to have to make repeat visits for the same problem - apparently paintwork damage to my A4, A2 and S3 doesnt mean they do this all the time - so I guess they must just wait for mine then. _Tone_
Thie episode is truly unbelievable. I thought it was just VW dealers who were beyond useless!! Now that we have got rid of the Golf I will never buy another one - when we had the A3 we had been on the end of a bit of shoddy service (on our A4 previously) at Northampton but having purchased a car there we were really looked after. Its not just VAG - I think its a lot of dealers - they are good at selling the car - the brand sells itself then the service departments just go and completely c o c k it up for you! You have to vote with your feet - its the only option! See you later Tone
