slowncareful
Its time to replace my MK1 Cupra, yes I know its slower than an R but to be honest I find it more fun to drive - something about my spine not being directly connected to the tarmac. Despite water pumps and spark plug leads I love my Cupra, I throw it around but it always lets me know when I am pushing it too far with time to save myself. But at the moment I am heading towards the dark side of a GTi 30 or in a different mood an A4 Cab or if I kill the wife and claim the insurance an A5 (or she might escape if the rumours on price are to be believed). Anyway anybody who can tell me how MK 1 (/R) compares with Mk 2 Cupra - not on numbers but on fun to drive before I sell my soul.
Snoopy
Steerings far lighter Has a better ride (over the old R and the old cupra also far better then new FR) Seems a softer ride. Does not thump over bumps as much. Handles better. Stops well too. Blind spots everywere. Plastics and eveything you touch imo are not as good as the mk1 imo.
