hi all,

i have a B7 A4 cabrio that has rear parking sensors but they seem quite quiet. I have to turn down the volume of the cd/radio in order to be sure to hear the beeps. Can anyone advise me if the volume can be adjusted upwards?

The car was 8 months old when I bought it so i dont know whether the parking aid is OEM factory fitted or has been added later - does anyone know how to tell?

Thanks.

Paul.

Hiya SparkyS3,

Do you mind if I ask where abouts in the DIS menu you find the volume settings? I had a quick look around but came up blank

Not sure if I have a different DIS (with it not being an A4), but I went into:

Settings > Parking Aid > Rear

Then I get this screen:

Quote from the A4 Avant owners manual:

“Warning Beeps

The warning beeps are produced by sound boxes located at the front and rear of the vehicle. If required, the volume and pitch of the sound can be adjusted by a qualified workshop”

I assume this means a VAG-COM.

I've got a B7 cab and mine are perfectly audible, not loud by any stretch of the imagination but I can hear them when I need to...

nah they are far too quiet!

it would be so much better if their volume was related to the music/radio volume!
