MajorH
I've just received a meguiars quick clay kit in the post (Im in Italy and Meguiars don't sell clay according to their catologue even thougth the clay has instructions in Italian on it) the bar is 50g and I have a Punto sized car to attack is this amount sufficient? bpsmith
You should have no problem getting the Punto done with that sized bar. Also think about cutting it in half, or even thirds, as if you drop it you have to throw it away!!!
MajorH
Thanks for the advice, is there a better alternative to meguiars for clay and lubricant
steelwind101
Hi Major, There are a couple of new things out there including spounges and lube that work just like clay but are "more" reuseable in some respects. Megs do clay (Mild is pretty nice) in 200g pots and i would by a gallon of Last Touch as lubricant. You can even dilute that with water 50/50. drpellypo
Or hagve a look at the Sonus range of clays. I use them as a preferable brand to the megs ones.
Ian_C
The only advice I'd give to a clay virgin is keep the paint surface as wet as possible and take your time! Sounds obviously, but get the car as clean as you possibly can before you commence the clay. Ian
