lensman
Hello folks, Ive got an 2001 Audi A3 1.8T and a couple of days ago a black plastic flap (about 1 m by 20cm) that fits underneath and behind the front bumper came off, well actually it appears that when I had my clutch changed a while back the mechanics didnt put all 4 screws holding it up back in, it was being held up by only 1 screw! It does look like a flap to keep road dirt from going up into the engine bay, although it seemed to be clean when it came off?? Anyone know what this panel does? Anyone know the types of screws I need to order to replace the flap/panel? Cheers in advance...
RobA3
Go to your local dealers they will have the parts you require.
lottiefox
Sounds like the undertray has fallen off - it protects the engine bay from dirt and stones etc going up into the bay from the road. If the tray isn't damaged I would think that any garage or Audi dealer will be abe to pop it back on for you.
