Guilty as charged - hadnt popped in for bloody ages but am glad to see them there monthly's back (well, as so to speak, hate the other monthly's but cant do diddly about that...) loved the april efforts... much needed in quite frankly the worst time of my life (and no, not due to monthly's)

Hmmm toying with how to put this without having stones thrown at me... I work for the Highways department here in Norwich (ducks) Now I am after all a minion and have no influence or suchlike when it comes to anything to do with the maintenance of roads but one thing which is noticable which is the common cause to most of the problems is the budget each year for such works. New roads are always being added to the list of 'things to do' but does the budget refect this accordingly each year? nope - not in the slightest in fact it doesnt even seem to cover extra costs of said maintenance as per inflation. As for customer service of said councils - who am I to comment, I'm just a land surveyor after all.... Oh dear god this is only my 3rd post - might just have to hide under badly surfaced road for this one...

Can I go for a truck here? driven plenty of cars all of which were either crap or good but not worth mentioning... but the most fun thing to drive was a gritting lorry (volvo) tatty old peice of crap with no power steering, crap brakes - (not that it mattered on the ice) and the ability to keep this loon grinning constantly driving about shedding salt at rediculous times of the morning. I havent been able to do that for over 6 years now and miss it
