  1. bluetooth audio issues

he bluetooth connected it works i.e., it connects to my phone but now it automatically mutes when I receive or make a call, I can’t hear the person and the person can’t hear me – but the bluetooth is connected. urggggg any ideas? these are some of the pictures I took of the coding and the wiring. I have a RSN-E unit not sure if it has boose or not. I bought an OEM symphany ii bluetooth module with oem mic and everything else. I have searched everywhere but can't find an answer for this so any help would be appreciated. thanks
  2. Hello all I have a 2012 A7 with SIM slot and Google maps etc. I gather it is not possible to use a SIM in the car AND use Bluetooth to my mobile phone for calls at the same time. However it seems this is possible with newer cars. Does anyone know if this can be enabled in older cars like mine through an MMI software update? Thanks for any answers.
  3. Hi All, After a couple of years away I have returned to the fold with a new A6 S line 2.0 TDI - and loving it One thing is bugging me though, I have the High Spec MMI (Hard drive and 3D Nav) which offers bluetooth connection to my Nokia E72. Unfortunately it connects in headset mode which means it uses the phones own aerial for the signal. The car does have the mobile aerial fin on the roof so is there anway to force the MMI / phone to connect as Sim Access Profile (SAP) instead so that it uses the better aerial of the car ? Hope someone knows and can help !
  4. I have changed my plans for my Passat, having recently (within the last week) bought the following unit. It is absolutely brilliant and great value, the only thing I don't like is that the Bluetooth quality is nowhere near that of my factory-fitted hard-wired hands free kit (it works fine but, like a lot of Bluetooth kits, sounds a bit faint by comparison). This is just me being pernickity, but I use my hands-free kit for hours every day and would rather have that working 100% as I want it. Therefore, if the buyer collects from York, I will let this go for £549 (paid £649 a few days ago) and even include a double antenna adaptor (£29). It is totally unmarked, and fully working - comes with box, wiring, instructions etc. The ebay link for the unit is Page Not Responding And I have listed it for sale on eBay at Page Not Responding
  5. Hiya, I'm just about to start dismantling the car to perform a bluetooth and RNS-E install. I was hoping some kind soul would be able to answer a few nagging questions for me. 1. Does the bluetooth microphone still live in the reading light fitting? The cabrio is constructed differently to a normal A4 so just wanted to be sure. 2. If I take out the glove box I am planning to mount the Bluetooth behind it and also place the GPS antenna somewhere above the glove. Does this seem sensible? Don't really want to take the instrument panel out if i can help it to mount the GPS antenna there! 3. The cable route from the bluetooth unit to the microphone. This is the tricky bit as I see it. Can anyone offer me any tips and advice on the exact trim parts i'd need to remove and how best to go about it? I've been scouring the internet, looking for pics and diagrams, but can really find any cabrio specific information and am wondering if the cable route is any different. Thanks guys, Paul.
