Any bright ideas???? Just purchased a 1998 911 / 996 Great car however, one irritating problem is that persistant tapping noise on tick over of the engine. This nosie speeds up if the engine speed increases. Im no mechanic but i remember that noise on my dads car and he used to say "thats the tappets" but that was on a Hillman estate and were talking Porsche here so how significant is this noise???? Any ideas
