Can I replace Aircon with CLIMATRONIC controls?

I have a MK4 Golf GTI (2002) (150bhp) with standard air con controls, is it possible to change these for the digital type (CLIMATRONIC).

We had Climatronic on our last Golf before it was taken, and this worked alot better.

Also looking for the 6 Cd changer in the dash if anyone has one to sell.

Your help on this would be great.

Climatronic swap can be done but is up to major money. Servo motors, temp sensors, climatronic control unit all adds up to close to a grand at stealer prices. No ones thought it that good to do the swap recently.

I thought it was just the control panel that needed changing, but that would be to easy.

Now that's what a call a thread, more information then I know what to do with.

Not such an easy fix by the looks of it, should have spent more time looking for one with it already fitted.

Don't worry too much as there is a (relatively) common fault on the climatronic units whereby some low speed resistor breaks and the fans only work on high speed for a few secs, switch off, high speed for a few secs, off - etc. It's rather expensive to fix too, £400ish as it's a sealed unit!
