Ady_E
Hi All Can anyone tell me where you can get replacement door mirrors for an A6 '00 (C5)? It's a driver's side, normal electric mirror with heated glass. No fancy stuff like electric folding or auto anti-dazzle or anything. I have tried various websites but they only seem to stock A4, 80, 100 etc. The dealers charge £84 inc vat for the 'whole unit' which is damn good! I was just about to produce my credit card with a broad grin when the guy announces that the unit doesn't come with the cover. That's an extra £39 primed only. 'But at least it comes with glass, right?' No, apparently not! That's another £32. Now, I know £155 still isn't too bad but when you see similar spec mirrors for A4's on sale elsewhere for less than £90 and they'll even spray it for you for another £27, I do feel a little bit seen off! 'kin stealers! So, if anyone can help, I'd be grateful. Have tried the following so far: eBay (of course) vagparts.com librautomotive.co.uk a1wingmirrors.co.uk wingmirrorman.co.uk incarshop.co.uk

Ady_E
Sorry for late response. Been away. Yeah was easy enough. remove inside plastic cover undo one allen bolt (8mm I think) and unplug (that was the hardest part) The harness plug was a little difficult to get out. Other than that, a 'one spanner' job I'd say! I'll have to remove the cover for spraying at some point. That's not so easy though as the glass is a bit difficult to remove without damaging it (£36) so got myself one of those suction jobs for windows. Once the glass is removed there is a small phillips screw at the top left (on the drivers mirror) of the motor unit. This releases the cover from the door mirror. Got quoted £40 to have both resprayed. Happy days!

Use google translate http://www.ebay.de/sch/i.html?_odkw=Audi+A6+2011+4F2%2C+C6&selvel=Audi~A6~2011~4F2%2C%20C6~-&selfil=2%2C3%2C1%2C7&_osacat=9884&_from=R40&_trksid=p2045573.m570.l1313.TR0.TRC0.H0.XAudi+A6+2011+C6+Spiegel.TRS0&_nkw=Audi+A6+2011+C6+Spiegel&_sacat=9884
