X3 Bluetooth

I viewed the X3 today and really liked it. One question for you guys.

On the spec sheet BMW sent me they listed bluetooth phone prep and telematics. However the pop up screen in the car only shows computer, GPS navigation and television. Should telephone now show up here also? Does this mean it does not have bluetooth although I would be surprised if the BMW info was wrong. Also is there anyway this could have been disabled and that I could reinstate.

Also what is the tlematics functions and it also lists BMW Connected Drive - Assist..........what is that?

I need to give an answer soon on the car so any help soon would be great.

Mine has 'telephone' as an option on the screen dave, along with 'GPS navigation' and 'Computer'

Phone any BMW service dept and get them to print out the spec sheet (if you haven't got it already). That will tell you for sure. It did take a while for me to fathom out how to use it... i thought it was disabled too!

Lift your armrest and there should be a button at the rear of the console. That be the pairing button!

It may be that it's pre wired but not activated.

Did you try pushing one of the phone buttons on the steering wheel... (bottom left hand side).

Sorry I can't be much more help.

Si

BMW Connected Drive - Assist... I think is a facility you have to subscribe to. (Sounds quite handy) Basically BMW can give you specific info on your location via the Nav, book hotels, recommend restaurants etc as well as offer automatic breakdown/emergency recovery help. Personally i didn't bother as i only do 6k a year, but each to their own.

I got the spec sheet from BMW customer services and it listed bluetooth and telematics. I would have thought this spec would be right but having said that their spec did not list Tv but this car has television. On that topic what channels does this receive and how good is the reception?
