allanon_1980
Just got hit by a stone and have a fifty pence piece sized chip on my windscreen. Should I get the main dealer to fit a new one or will the usual call out supplier be ok?

[/ QUOTE ] When I had a chip in my 2002 320d windscreen the insurance company organised Autoglas to undertake the replacement. I took it to a branch rather than have the mobile fitting service. I could not tell the replacement fromt the original. I did ask BMW whether they could change the screen but they were not interested.
artdealer
Good point about taking to a branch, also I would be checking a proper job was done if you go for a repair. They often bodge them by not waiting long enough for the glue to seep into the cracks.
