Merlot
It was more than 300 miles from the supplying dealer so someone must have actually bought one as that's a bit too far for a test drive. Don't get me wrong, its great to see someone still buying large engined small cars especially as the 3.2 is a peach of an engine (have it in my TT) but I thought people had given up on such things. Put that in your pipe Mr A Darling.
Sparky
Good on them. Some people don't care about the CO2 (or they don't read the news!). The V6 is a lovely engine
ChrisT
I saw a sportback I couldn't believe this morning, it had a 1.4T badge on the back! I didn't think that it could be much cop, but it looking at the audi web site its more pokey than the 1.6 petrol and base 1.9 soot chucker. Still it didn't look anything special next to the S3 and it was silver ...

John @ DW
Get in!! I love my 3.2 and would tell any one thinking about getting one, do it. Big torquey engines in small cars are great, stick it in any gear and it will pull away at any speed. Sod the CO2, tax and crap mpg.
Merlot
Its an engine so full of character and noise. Did a big run in my 3.2 TTR today - albeit with the roof down - a delight to hear such a great engine.
