Frodo
Has anyone noticed that playing Mario Kart online generates an excessive amount of download traffic? I am on a fairly low FUP with my ISP as we don't download much. But in one day with only additional change being Mario Kart running online for a few hours and suddenly the data download for the day is 5GB
Biscuits
Wow that seems a lot. I'm on an unlimited service, so haven't bothered to check, but I would be amazed if it used anywhere near 5GB for multi-player.
CarMad
5Gb would mean you are maxing your connection for almost an entire day, are you sure thats right ?
Frodo
We started using the Wii with Mario Kart online around 22nd April and the internet usage since then has been high according to Zen. I removed the network connection to the Wii on Saturday and the usage has dropped as below: It could be something else and I will plug it in again and see what happens now I've had a few days of normal use. Booster
Is someone hijacking your wireless connection?
Frodo
Although not impossible my wireless lan is using WPA2 and a 46 character intialisation key made up of uppercase, lowercase, numbers and punctuation marks. I'll plug the Wii back in tomrrow and see if the the high download returns or it was just a coincidence. Paul
