RJP Posted April 29, 2008 Report Share Posted April 29, 2008 Just got Vag-com today (my car talks to me!) and have a few q's: 1) I have a 98 S8, AHC, ECX, DNU, but none of the major systems is recognised by the labels in Vag-Com (see printout below). Is this usual, or have I got an odd model, or am I doing something wrong? 2) For kicks I tried to go into the service reset area and got "No adaption channel could be read or there is no information for this cluster. The SRI function will now terminate". I note that the same issue was reported recently on the Ilexa forums, but I am not a member there (yet) so could not ask them. Thanks in advance for any pointers! Derek at Ilexa responded quickly to an email, and I have sent him controller channel maps for the engine and hvac, so some label files may be generated for those at some point. I confirmed the service indicator information could be read (and presumably reset) manually using the adaptation feature, even if the automatic application did not work, so that is OK.
