ludwig
Help please. I've just noticed some pesky orange spots/marks less than half the size of a pinhead on the top of the rear bumper and boot lid. How do I get rid of them? I think it may be residue from the rear discs/pads? It shows up more on my car - Candy White MkV GTI MY06 ! I'm guessing - but do I need to use a "clay bar"? Thanks, ludwig
MajorH
Probably more like some kind of atmospheric drop out, wash the car dry it off , then run clean fingertips over the area (you can even use clingfilm as a barrier if you wish) if it doesnt feel smooth, then I would suggest claying it. If you don't have any to hand the quickest route is go to Halfrauds and buy the Meguiars smooth surface kit, which includes mild clay, a mf towel and a sample paint cleaner and quick detailer to use as the clay lube. After claying I would use the paint cleaner and then add your desired LSP over the top.
ludwig
Major, thanks for this. <Probably more like some kind of atmospheric drop out, ...> Maybe, but it is only on the bumper top and boot door. Nowhere else on the car. < ...add your desired LSP over the top.> What's LSP again .....? Thanks, ludwig
