Merlot
Best of luck mate. I presume that the market for selling that sort of car is now a bit tough? FWIW I got a price on my five year old S4 Avant the other day - £13k trade vs £42k new.

MarskeBear
the dealers are stuggling at mo and cars that are heavy on fuel are turning away buyers.
_Tone_
the dealers are stuggling at mo and cars that are heavy on fuel are turning away buyers. Hmm must disagree - we went to Audi dealer and tried to buy an S3 that was up for £25k - offered less - they said NO... would not even take £250 off - they were very confident it would sell at asking price (which it might) and we were offering pound notes... It seems to me some are bullish! Tone Good luck selling the R32 mate - nice car!
Merlot
S3's and Edition 30 Golf GTis are holding up but R32's are suffering big time for the car tax and mpg reasons we are all familiar with.

Nelson_R32
S3's are holding up. I've no idea where you are looking to reach that conclusion  I've seen 07 plate S3's with Nav etc changing hands for £20k and they would've easily cost £32k new, a good few grand more than an R32. Merlot
That one has obviously past me by. The good value presented by the Scirocco won't help either I guess. I quite fancied an S3 Sportback with Magnetic Ride but even with a good discount if would cost £29k or thereabouts with spec. By the time it was delivered my 07 plate 535d M Sport would only be worth that which doesn't seem like a fair swap. Time for us all to keep what we have for a while I suspect unless of course someone wants to offer me a stunning spec R32 for half the price of my Beemer.
